Odwirafo Kwesi Ra Nehem Ptah Akhan hasn't added a story.
OBAATAN (aw-bah'-ah-tahn) is the name of our book defining Afuraitkaitnit (African~Black) Womanhood. The e-book is a free download from our website. We also have the soft-cover version available.
OBAATAN is also the name of our training-workshop based upon our book. OBAATAN Afuraitkaitnit Womanhood introduces a comprehensive set of seven principal values defining what it means to be an Afuraitkaitnit Obaatan (African woman). These principal values stream from the Divine and Ancestral Forces of womanhood that defines her spirit and shapes her potential.
The wisdom of Afuraitkaitnit women who carry the energy complexes of the various Abosom (Deities) governing the seven-day week and thus the seven principal values of OBAATAN informed the seven chapters of this book. These values are enshrined by the Ancestresses of our great matriclans and transmitted to each woman. ODWIRAMANFO MMAATAN is this collective of women within ODWIRAMAN - Purified Nation Afurakanu/Afuraitkaitnut (Africans) in the Western Hemisphere.
Many have shared with us that they have been waiting for this book to be published to empower themselves as individuals and also to utilize it with young women, rites programs, sisterhood groups, etc. This mirrors our complementary publication OBARIMA Afurakani Manhood which is used by men to empower themselves as individuals, as well as being used with young men, rites programs, manhood groups, etc. We have had hundreds of thousands of free downloads of OBARIMA Afurakani Manhood and also give away free copies of the soft-cover versions at our workshops and in the community. This includes 17,000 downloads of the free e-book version over the past 12 months. The soft-cover version is also available for purchase online. We continue to transform the lives of Afurakani men right where they are right now.
The same will be true of the transformative effect of OBAATAN Afuraitkaitnit Womanhood upon the lives of Afuraitkaitnit (African) women, youth and adults, right where they are - right now. We will give away thousands of free copies of the soft-cover version at our free OBAATAN workshops and in the community as well as the free e-book version which is accessible to all online.
Over the past nine years we have been able to realign the thoughts, intentions and actions of Afuraitkaitnit young women and adults through the principal values of OBAATAN. Now that we have published OBAATAN in book form, it will be their own personal manual of womanhood. One reading of this publication transforms the focus and behavior of our young and adult women forever.
The seven principal values of womanhood delineated in OBAATAN are aligned with the energy and character of the seven days of our Ancestral Afurakani/Afuraitkaitnit (African) week. It is a holistic set of principal values which governs every aspect of being and behavior - biological, emotional, mental, psychological, cultural, communal and spiritual - and provides the Afuraitkaitnit woman with an opportunity and a focal point to refine herself, her character, her work ethic, her relationships, her educational development, entrepreneurial spirit and more each of the seven days of the week throughout the course of her life.OBAATAN and OBARIMA are also part of our NOKWAREFO - Distributor Option. We offer Afurakani/Afuraitkaitnit (African) men and women the opportunity to become self-employed immediately by becoming distributors of our 27 books. This is a means by which our people can become self-sufficient while serving and empowering the Afurakani/Afuraitkaitnit (African) community. Our self-employment option is open to our men and women, notwithstanding past work history. We must have options to address our economic necessities. This is part of the Amansesew - Nationbuilding/Restoration process. We not only transform minds through education, but we transform the socioeconomic condition of our people through offering a path for entrepreneurship.
