Hi,
I'm Nicolette Richer and I am on a mission to raise awareness and educate 22 million people that food is medicine and medicine is food.
For two decades, I’ve consulted with thousands of individuals struggling with life-threatening diagnosis. They have learned that degenerative diseases do not have to be a life sentence. My clients get results that are life-changing and more importantly, life-saving.
How am I working toward my life’s mission? I’m training for 22 MILLION STRONG, a cross-Canada tour to share the science and benefits of an unprocessed, plant-based organic diet that can reverse chronic disease.
I’ll complete this tour by running and biking from British Columbia to Newfoundland, over 7,000 KM fuelled entirely by a plant-based, whole-food eating plan.
COVID-19 UPDATE: Amid heightened concerns regarding COVID-19, Nicolette will now kick off the 22 Million Strong initiative with a 3,500 km run/bike tour around BC in July 2021. The Trans-Canada tour has been postponed to the summer of 2022.
Why am I on this crazy journey? Chronic disease rates have reached epidemic levels ! I’m determined to share the scientific evidence that the foods we eat can reverse chronic lifestyle illnesses , such as type 2 diabetes, heart disease, infertility, autoimmune disorders, gut and mental health illnesses, and more.
In my Doctoral thesis, I’m studying how a plant-based, whole-foods diet and traditional knowledge of nutrition and lifestyle can keep people disease-free. I’ll be furthering my research at stops along my cross-Canada tour.
What’s the Goal? With my team at The Green Moustache Organic Cafés and Richer Health, our goal (by 2030) is to educate 22 million people how they can heal their bodies. And this tour across Canada is just the start.
We are aiming to raise $22,000 to ramp up this tour.
These diseases are plaguing national health care systems and ruining lives. They can be reversed and overcome.

What is 22 MILLION STRONG?
Nicolette Richer is on a mission to educate 22 milli on people by 2030 that chronic degenerative diseases do not have to be a life sentence. Food is medicine and we have the ability to regenerate our bodies back to optimal health.
Who are you trying to reach?
60% of North Americans now diagnosed with a preventable and reversible chronic illness, including infertility, depression, anxiety, heart disease, diabetes, autoimmune disorders, and cancer. The 22 MILLION STRONG Tour aims to reach Canadians from coast to coast so they can learn about the science and benefits of a plant-based, whole-foods diet.
How are you sharing your mission?
- A 7,200 km run / bike journey across Canada fuelled by a plant-based, whole-food eating plan. On this tour, Nicolette will raise awareness and educate Canadians on the benefits of a traditional, unprocessed, plant-based organic diet that can reverse disease.
- A range of educational online courses to help individuals start their healing journey.
Why is it important?
Chronic disease rates are increasing – it is urgent we come back to our roots to pre-settler whole-food as our foundation, and food as our medicine. As part of Nicolette’s PhD research through Royal Roads University, she will be stopping in several towns and cities in each province to connect with and work alongside IBPOC communities, physicians, and youth to uncover barriers to food security, soil regeneration, and healthy eating and living.
How will my donation funds be used?
By donating, you’ll help fund the tour, the education and the research. Your funds go towards supporting our goal to help communities uncover the barriers to accessing healthy food and to implementing systems that will build food security in their regions.
I would like to provide a larger donation and would like to avoid transaction fees. How can I do this and will I receive a tax receipt?

If more than $22,000 is raised how will those funds be used?
The more donations we are able to secure in advance guarantees us the ability to reach more communities across Canada.
What happens if you are not able to complete the ride/run due to injury or limitations caused by COVID-19?
We would reschedule, continue to train and complete the ride/run once these scenarios are resolved. We are working with the best endurance coaches, nutritionists and body workers to ensure Nicolette is able to complete this tour.
The funds would continue to go toward training and educating communities on how to use food as medicine to reverse chronic disease. The education never stops.
